Thank You LPLS!

It is hard to believe that we have just completed 12 weeks of the school year! Our students have made so much progress in their academics and leadership skills. I am very proud of them and want to thank you, our amazing families, for supporting their learning. I hope that you have a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends. I am very thankful that you continue to support and choose Las Palmas as your child's school. I appreciate you!

Folklorico Performance

Our Folklorico team danced at the Memorial pep rally two weeks ago!

World Kindness Day

We celebrated World Kindness Day on Monday by performing random acts of kindness. This is one example of a poster around campus where students could take an act of kindness to perform or an affirmation statement to give to another person.

Fine Arts Field Trip

Our 2nd, 4th and 5th graders enjoyed a Field Trip last week to Edgewood Fine Arts Academy to see a performance by San Antonio Philharmonic. This connects to the IB Transdisciplinary Theme "How The World Works" by learning how vibration causes sound energy.

Food Drive Success

We are so thankful for your donations to make our food drive a success! These items will go directly back to our Edgewood community through our district food pantry.

Chess Club

Leaders stay balanced with different after school clubs. Chess club is offered at our campus weekly where students learn how to be strategic thinkers through the game of chess.

Update on Leadership Uniforms

We are currently checking out formal leadership uniforms (worn on Mondays only) for K-5 students. Call the front office to schedule an appointment to sign out your child's uniform. Uniforms checked out are free but must be returned at the end of the year or upon withdrawal.

Optional: Uniforms can be purchased at: https://www.schoolyardstore.com/laspalmas or in person at 12300 W Interstate 10 Building #3 M-F 10am-6pm, Saturday 10am-3 pm. Please note styles vary by grade level
