A Note from Principal Sage
I am extremely pleased to work in a strong collaboration with our parent ambassadors. I would like to thank these members for the dedication towards our school. Please see below for an important message from them.
December brings a new 7 Mindsets theme, Live to Give. In transitions classes learners will learn about and reflect on the four critical components of:
- Stretch Yourself
- Make a Difference
- Receive Gratefully
- Create a Legacy
The Live to Give Mindset teaches the importance of serving others while maximizing our own potential. It tells us that abundance in life is a cycle; in order to receive love, respect, and financial security, we must first learn to give those things to others. This mindset also teaches us that the greatest gift we can ever give is to find and leverage our unique genius to maximize our positive impact on the world, knowing that good things will be returned to us in kind. In the lessons for this mindset, we guide students to think about the impact they want to make and the legacy they want to leave.
It is going to be a great week at BMS!
-Joe Sage, Principal
A Message from our Parent Ambassadors
Boeckman Middle School is excited for year two of our Parent Ambassador group! We are a group of parents that are excited to help put support behind teacher appreciation and student celebration throughout the school. We also work closely with BMS administration to discuss and provide feedback around things happening at school.
The parent ambassadors group has a 501 c3. In summary, this allows us to collect donations and operate as a separate financial entity which can provide support to our school! Our Parent Ambassadors group will work closely with BMS administration and leadership to listen to formal requests around how this money can be used. Parent Ambassador meetings moving forward will include discussions around BMS but will also include any formal requests made to this group.
Our first task is to spread some holiday cheer throughout our teachers and staff!
We are asking for donations in either the form of a $20 gift card from a general local business, restaurant or retailer to be dropped off in the BMS office by Wednesday, Decemeber 13th. A cash/check donation of any amount can be dropped off in the BMS office and made out to Boeckman Parent Ambassadors, or a VENMO donation to Boeckman Middle School Parent Ambassadors. You can find our VENMO account by searching @BoeckmanParentAmbassadors.
If you have any questions or are interested in helping with the behind the scenes distribution, please feel free to email email@example.com. Thank you in advance for supporting our schools and teachers!
Toys for Town
Toys for Town is an annual toy drive organized by the Farmington Police Department to help make the holiday season special for children in our community. Boeckman Middle School is a donation site for Farmington. If you would like to donate, please drop off a toy to the main office. Donations will be available until Monday, December 11th. In addition, monetary donations to the Toys for Town program will be accepted at the police department.
ISD 192 Federated Managed Apple IDs
ISD 192 is preparing to use Federated Managed Apple IDs. This means that by mid-January 2024, only Farmington Area Public Schools will be able to create and use Apple IDs using email addresses with @isd192.org. IF your child is currently using their district @isd192.org email address for a personal Apple ID login, they will need to change the email address to a personal email address to continue to use this Apple ID. The individual’s data and purchases will remain with the Apple ID account. Only the email used with the Apple ID will be updated. This only impacts Apple IDs currently using an ISD 192 district email address.
Apple will be sending email notices with instructions to update Apple IDs using a district emailletting individuals know they will need to change the email address used with their Apple ID. As a convenience, instructions are also available from the “iPad First Aid” web clip icon on district iPads.
Please know that Apple IDs are created and managed by Apple. ISD 192 is not able to recover or troubleshoot personal Apple IDs. In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Apple allows children over the age of 13 to create an Apple ID. If a child is under the age of 13, Apple has a instructions on how parents/guardians may create and manage an Apple ID for their child.

If a student will be absent, a parent/guardian must call Boeckman Middle School’s attendance line at 651-460-1405 prior to 9:45 AM each day of the absence. We ask that parents/guardians provide the reason for the absence at the time they call. The school determines if the absence falls within the excused or unexcused parameters. If the school does not receive a call from the parent/guardian the day of the absence, the student’s absence is automatically unexcused.
