Mr. Keith Brook, the principal of Clearview Regional High School, is proud to announce that Nanda Guntupalli, Riley Kruc, Shane Shenk and Shawn Zou have been named Commended Students in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, was presented by the principal to these scholastically talented seniors.

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2024 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2024 competition by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

“Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” commented a spokesperson for NMSC. “These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success.”

Congratulations to Shawn Zou for placing 1st in the State of NJ for Math League last year!

This marks the 4th year in a row that the Team has won this title. Also, special shoutout to Sarah Crawford as she won the Singles Tournament ~ congratulations Sarah!

• Our Field Hockey Team was invited to participate in the Max Field Hockey's National High School Invitational at The Proving grounds in Conshohocken, PA. This is by invite only and Teams from across the Country participate.

• HUGE WIN for the Field Hockey Team as they beat Eastern for the 1st time in the School’s history 1-0, with a goal from Ella G. Marissa B recorded 6 saves and the Defense & Marissa kept Eastern scoreless! Great job Ladies!! GO VIEW!!!

This NJDOE Program recognizes the hard work and dedication of outstanding teachers and educational services professionals. The committee will be selecting one teacher AND one educational services professional from each school. Both teacher awardees will then have the opportunity to vie for recognition at the County, State and National levels. Below is a link to the criteria:

Forms will also be posted on the district website.
