Weekly Happenings
Report cards were emailed out yesterday.
This report reflects a snapshot of your child's current progress at this time. This year TeacherEase reflects a separate Student Progress Report for each quarter.
For directions on how to login to TeacherEase, click HERE . To locate this quarter's Progress Report within TeacherEase, select “Academics” from the top menu, and then select “Report Card.”
It is helpful to keep in mind that learning targets often reflect end-of-year goals, and that learning is a progression. We often work on the same target throughout multiple units during the year, and therefore, it is not uncommon for a progress report to reflect some 2s at this time.
Anytime you have a question, we encourage you to email or call us.
Please keep in mind, you should check Teacher Ease weekly to see your students progress. You will find detailed comments on any assignment that is not a "3". If you need help finding the comment, please email us and we would be happy to help you.
Here is information about the LEAP program. We will be contacting you if we would like to nominate your child.
LEAP Program
LEAP is an intervention program for gifted students in grades 2-8 who have been identified as gifted learners. Students must meet qualifying levels on identified assessments in order to participate in LEAP. The levels are prescribed by the Missouri Board of Education and have been adapted to the Ray-Pec LEAP program.
Nomination Period Now Open
Each year, parents or teachers may nominate students in grades 1-7 for candidacy to be evaluated for LEAP. The nomination period is from January 4 to 29, 2016. The nomination form link will be available on January 4, 2016, on the district webpage: http://www.raypec.k12.mo.us/index.aspx?nid=889
Our school counselor Miss Madras serves as our building LEAP coordinator. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email her or call her at 892-1608.
