Rice Bowls
Money donated each Lent to CRS helps:
- more than 100 million lives through various programs
- reaches communities in 101 countries
- helps Catholics respond to Pope Francis' call to build a "culture of encounter"
Please consider making a donation to this great organization! During Holy Week, please bring back the Rice Bowls to school, or drop them in the collection basket at Mass.
Registration 2017-2018
Last week a registration packet for the 2017-2018 school year was sent home with your family's youngest child. We will use this form as your re-registration for the coming 2017– 2018 school year. If you are not planning to register at Visitation for next year, please return the form with a note stating your intention not to return.
Please check the information on the student profile, make any changes and/or additions/deletions in the space provided and return to the school office as soon as possible. It is most important to be sure to include your child’s pediatrician and dentist name, address, phone numbers and date of last physical!!!
We ask you to please be sure to sign and date the emergency treatment portion of the application. Upon receipt of your application, we will post this information into our database.
Please don't hesitate to call the office if you have any questions.

Band Update From Miss Bales
It is that time of year again: Band season! With March fast approaching, it is time to start planning for the Advanced Band’s two performance events – The Commencement Bay Middle School Band Festival and the Parochial Band Recruitment Concerts. We have just a few details to address.
As a reminder, these are the dates for those events as listed in the Bellarmine Parochial Band handbook:
MS Band Festival – Thursday, March 16th @ Baker Middle School
Recruitment Concerts – Tuesday/Wednesday March 28th & 29th
*These events involve the Advanced Band (6th-8th grade) members ONLY.
Middle School Band Festival – Thursday, March 16th
The Commencement Bay Middle School Band Festival is an opportunity for the Advanced Band to showcase their talents as a performing ensemble for other middle school bands around the region. The band will also be adjudicated by professional musicians and given scores/comments about their performance. This is an all-day event and I will be making the necessary transportation arrangements through Bellarmine.
Field trip forms will be sent home to the band families and copies will be sent to each school office before the event. The exact departure and return times have not been finalized yet because the band’s performance time is still being decided by the Commencement Bay Region. When this information becomes available, I will inform each school and release a formal event schedule.
Recruitment Concerts – March 28th/29th
The Parochial Band Recruitment Concerts are an opportunity for each school to enjoy a musical performance put on by the Advanced Band members. It is a 2-day event where the Advanced Band performs at each school (3 schools each day) in order to recruit members for the upcoming year (3rd grade/incoming 4th graders being the most vital) and to educate all students about the instruments of the band.
Field trip forms will be sent home to the band families and copies will be sent to each school office before the event. Again, the exact departure and return times have not been finalized because we must decide together what performance times work for each school. That being said, the following is a possible performance schedule I have put together:
Tuesday, March 28th
9am: Performance @ Saint Charles - Gym
11am: Performance @Saint Pat's – Gym
1pm: Performance @ Saint Nick's – Parish Center
Wednesday, March 29th
9am: Performance @ All Saint's - Gym
10:30-11am: Performance @ Visitation - Gym
1pm: Performance @ Cabrini – Gym
This is a similar layout to last year with the north end schools on one day and the south end schools on another. The performance should not last more than 15-20 minutes.
