Blue's Babblings

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas vacation. I'm excited to hear from the kids about all the fun they've had! This month we will explore everything about winter - snow, ice, arctic animals, hibernation, clothing, and more (even though it doesn't feel like winter yet!).

This is also our Reading Month! Spending more time indoors due to bad weather is a great opportunity to encourage a love of reading. As a class we will "build a snowman" to show how many books they've read. For each book read at home, one snowball will be earned. I am sending home 10 snowballs with each student to start. When you read a book together at home, write the name of the book on a snowball and return it to me. When you run out of snowballs, just let me know and I will send more home. Let's build a giant snowman by the end of the month!
