Kehena Beach is known for its black sand and it's wildlife, it's also called "Dolphin Beach"

Kehena Beach's sand is black, caused by volcanic eruptions, the black sand is lava that flowed down to the ocean's sea cliffs.

The sand is also Basaltic Rock Fragments.
