Peterson's Post
January 11-15th
3 Stars and a Wish
2. Lexia and Dreambox reports are being accessed more and more. Number of minutes are going up and you appear to be getting more familiar with the data. Keep it up!
3. The second computer cart is up and running. Hopefully, this extra technology will help with testing and getting our minutes in for our reading and math programs.
A Wish: (I am keeping these two wishes from last week's Smore!)
1. Apply for the grant! You could be the one who could get 1,000.00 for your room.
2. Take a look at your room and see if there is anything you can do physically to make it more engaging for students. (seating, arrangement or tables or desks, lighting, music, etc...)
Congratulations Gail Iman!
This is what was said about Gail:
Dedicated; leader; goes above and beyond; just a few of the words used to describe Gail.
Always thinking and brainstorming new ideas to engage all of her Mann students, she challenges them to learn, to reach something higher; to be better versions of themselves. Leading by example, while teaching, makes her successful in the classroom. She embodies the Engaging, Relevant and Personal aspects of our district's mission.

Katie Williams will be teacher in charge while Sharon and I are out.
My dad is in a regular room now, but his blood levels are still not normal. At some point we are taking him to Barnes for more scans. Thank you again for all the emails and texts.

Good To Know- anticipated employee high absence days
For the 2015-2016 school year, we anticipate heavy employee absences on the dates listed below. Historically, Kelly Services has had a difficult time filling absences with substitutes on these dates. If possible and if an event hasn’t already been scheduled, we’d appreciate any effort you might make to avoid scheduling events on these days. Also, it would be extremely helpful if we can ask teachers to avoid Fridays for Assessment Testing. This made a huge difference last year! Beyond these, please take into consideration these high absence days:
· Friday, March 25th – Good Friday
· Monday, March 28th – Easter Monday
· Friday, May 5th – SPS Graduation
· Friday, May 6th – SPS and Evangel Graduation
· Friday, May 13th – MSU and Drury Graduation
