Science Fun with Snow!

Mrs. March's Engineers
To get ready for their winter break the students in Mrs. March's third grade class were challenged to do a fun STEM activity. After reading the book How to Catch an ELF by Adam Wallace and Andy Ellerton the students were told to brainstorm things they could use to create a trap to catch an elf. They then had to search their house looking for these materials that they could use to construct their own Personal Elf trap. After they found the materials, they were then asked to draw a diagram of their design and construct it. Finally, the students took pictures of their traps and presented them to the class. We have some great future engineers!
