The History
Voting became official after our country fought for our independence in 1776, but it was only accessible to white men who owned property. Women, slaves and others had to fight for their right to vote. After time, they were given the right to vote after many protests and a lot of demanding. The way we vote has evolved in many different ways since it became official.
