Field Day 2019
Mill Creek will hold its 19th annual Tug-of War and Field day, Thursday May 30th & Friday May 31st (Rain date: June 4th ). The entire school will be divided into two teams:
SILVER STARS VS. BURGUNDY BURSTS
Tug-of-War is held the day before Field Day to boost the student’s spirits and to get them ready for field day. The grade level will report to the gym to participate in the tug-of-war during their recess time. In every grade level, each class will have a tug-of-war event (stars vs. bursts). A tally will be kept, and at the end of the day, the starting score between the two teams will be announced.
Field day is an all-day event with numerous fun filled activities. The activities have been designed to reflect grade and ability levels. Teachers, along with parent volunteers, will guide their classes from station to station throughout the day. There will be a running score tally for the teams at each station. At the conclusion of the day, there will be a whole-school assembly to reflect on the day’s activities and the final scores will be announced.
Tug-of-War and Field Day have been designed to promote comradery and school spirit. So, please join us to watch the children celebrate the Mill Creek Magic!
Hope to see you there!
