Thank you!
Mountain View Families,
As we continue to learn in this fast paced virtual world, it is easy to get used to immediate responses from your student's teacher. We ask that you give some grace to teachers as they are trying their best to communicate with parents as best and as often as they can. Please do not expect an immediate response in the evenings or weekends.
Also, a reminder that Monday, September 7th is Labor Day and there will be no virtual school that day.
Thank you again for your support, we cannot do this without you!
Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

RESPECT
This month we are focusing on RESPECT.
Treating people with respect makes your world a nicer place to live in, whether it’s at home, at school, or out in your community. And it’s easy – all you have to do is treat people the way you like to have them treat you. Here are a few ideas.
• Don’t insult people or make fun of them.
• Listen to others when they speak.
• Value other people’s opinions.
• Be considerate of people’s likes and dislikes.
• Don’t mock or tease people.
• Don’t talk about people behind their backs.
• Be sensitive to other people’s feelings.
• Don’t pressure someone to do something he or she doesn’t want to do.
Practice showing respect at home, and let your teacher know how you have shown respect!
1 to 1 Device Agreement and Insurance
Included in that update is the 1 to 1 Device Responsible Use Agreement and Permission Form. This update also includes the opportunity to purchase “internal insurance” for $25 with the 1 to 1 Device Responsible Use and Internal Insurance Agreement.
If you are unable to complete the forms through your Infinite Campus portal, we have hard copies available at the main office. We ask that you complete these as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please contact the main office at (208)854-5700.
Free/Reduced Lunch Forms
Free/Reduced Lunch (and breakfast) applications are here or you can come to the school and fill one out in the office. This needs to be filled out yearly, so if you qualified last year, or if your economic situation has changed, you will need to reapply.
Boise School District Food & Nutrition Services are excited to provide weekly curbside meal pick-up for our virtual students. This service is available for students enrolled in the Boise Online School or for students enrolled in a neighborhood school that is temporarily closed.
Check the Curbside Meals page for more details.
Please know that you can order a WHOLE WEEKS WORTH of food for each student on the Friday before.
If you have any questions, please contact our office at 208-854-4090.

From the Counselor
Hello Mountain View Families! Welcome back to an unusual year! We are figuring this out and are here for YOU! Here are a couple things I'd like to share with you:
New Counseling Website! Here is the link to the NEW Mountain View Counseling Program Website! On the website you will find a plethora of resources, including links to financial and family support, parenting resources, how to talk to the counselor and more! This website was made specifically for parents, families, and students. Much more will be added as needed. Don't forget to take a look at the Calm Room - it is a great resource for our students where they can access many things during their "recess" times, free times, AND/OR whenever they are feeling stressed, anxious, lonely or down.
School Supplies! Does your student need supplies? Please fill out this form if needed and we will contact you about pickup times!
