Have you expected your life to go one way and then something happens that throws you off from your plan? Maybe it was something you thought you were heading toward, yet now you have found yourself doing something completely different than you first set your heart on.

The thing is, we need detours and plans to change. It's through the detours God always takes us to where we’re supposed to go in the long run. It’s ok if it doesn’t look the way we thought it was going to look, because thankfully, God knows the bigger plan. God is God. Oftentimes a detour may be His way of getting us to look at Him and fulfill His purpose. He sees the whole picture.

Dear Lord,

We thank you that no detour or change of plans is out of your sight. Thank you that you have our lives in the palms of your hands. Thank you that even though we don’t understand the change of plans we see in front of us, we can trust in you and your provision over us. We trust that you have plans to prosper us and not to harm us.

Lord, we ask that you help us trust you more. Remind us that you are good even when good isn’t showing up according to our plans. Forgive us for doubting you, for worrying, and for trying so hard to work together our plans on our own.

We choose to believe that you are able to accomplish far more, do far greater, than we ever thought possible. You are a good Father who has a good plan and purpose laid out before us. We lean on you for your guidance and direction.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen

As a parent of two boys who attend Holy Cross, I know how special our school is and am honored to have this position. It is an absolute blessing to be able to join the outstanding staff and teach the wonderful group of students we have. Our Holy Cross Family is so unique and I look forward to establishing more connections with the families at our school."

Fundraising Makes A Difference!

Big picture

Below is a graphic that shows the total cost of tuition and revenue sources, on average, for the Green Bay Area Catholic Schools. Student tuition is just one piece of the puzzle. We couldn’t have the great educational resource that we do without the help of the Parish, Third Source Fundraising, Food Service, Annual Appeal and WI Parental Choice Tuition. Holy Cross Parish and Holy Cross School are one community with a common goal – to teach future parishioners as Jesus did.

Every year GRACE assesses each school to cover overhead and other expenses. It’s the school’s responsibility to make sure that the assessment is met through fundraising activities (Third Source Fundraising). The Holy Cross School Annual Auction for Education falls under Third Source Fundraising. It is the school’s largest fundraiser for the year and primarily covers the GRACE assessment. Funds generated above the assessment can be used to improve the school, i.e., in 2019 we were able to remodel the faculty lounge, purchase a new SMART board for the 2nd grade classroom, update furniture within some of the classrooms, among other improvements; this is why the auction is critical to our school’s success and viability. The excess funds also help alleviate some of the parish’s burden when it comes to school maintenance or needs.

In 2020 - 2021 the 9 GRACE schools are responsible for $715,000 of the GRACE budget. Holy Cross’ portion is $52,500.

Please consider requesting a sponsorship from your respective employer to help us reach our fundraising goal of $65,000. Most companies allocate funds to donate to non-profits each year. Companies are also more likely to support a request if an employee has a tie to the organization they are making the request for.
