Better Together

Dear Wiggin Street Families,

Our teachers have been highly engaged in Professional Development today. This will be a quick message, but I wanted to share out some great pictures from this week and information about Talent Show Tryouts.

Best wishes and have a wonderful weekend!

Warmly,

Christy Grandstaff

Art Teacher for the Day, Mrs. Elena

Elena got to be "Mrs. Biggerstaff" (though she asked that her students call her Mrs. Elena) and, she taught the class an art lesson of her choosing. She wanted the class to draw the character "Puss in Boots." She did a wonderful job and was very patient and encouraging to her students!

Thrive Kids

We had a fun week as we continued working on the PUSH movement throughout our classes and encouraging the students to build their GRIT! Two lessons we learned this week:

  1. Who you follow matters. The people around us will influence our mindset and actions which means we need to be aware of who we surround ourselves with! It’s not easy to “unfollow” someone but the more aware we can be of how we are being influenced the better leader we can be!

  1. Hard work is easier when it’s fun! We learned a new skill this week, wall walks, and the students challenged themselves all while having fun! We discussed how much easier it is to push through discomfort and overcome a challenge when we are having fun!
