Define the word leader. Who is a leader in your life? What do you admire about him, her, or them?
A leader is....
"I would define the word leader as someone who teaches by doing not saying."
A leader is....
"The leader in my life is my oldest brother. I consider him to be a great leader because he will be the one to do the right thing even thought it isn´t the ¨popular¨ thing to do. I admire his ability to take charge in any situation."
A leader is....
"leader: someone who demonstrates and helps other find the right path"
Which picture most represents society's relationship with technology today? Why?
Why I chose picture A...
"I chose A because people in our society would much rather use the majority of their time sitting behind a screen than experiencing the real world."
"I chose letter A because the cord attached to the laptop symbolizes technology holding us back from accomplishing our goals. The laptop symbolizes our distraction towards reality, and the open window symbolizes our goals and future."
Why I chose picture B...
"He is escaping the depths of technology. He finally realizes there is an escape."
"Searching for Wi-Fi. He must get his phone to work again. This explains todays society because if people's phones are not working, they freak out until they can just send a text again."
Why I chose picture C...
"I think picture c describes today's society because many people spend all of their time on social media, and it's holding them back from other things in life."
"People don't really try to go out and experience life personally. They live through other people's perspectives and platforms, like Facebook. Facebook tends to show how people live digitally even though the door to really live is open and ready."
How will you be a tech ethicist leader on campus?
Name three ways you can model ethical online behavior for your fellow Titans.
Based on today’s conversation, what is one thing you will pay more attention to or do differently online?
"I will pay more attention to people's conversations on social media and the language they use."
"I will call others out if they've gone too far with what they post."
"I will pay more attention to how others may feel online."

League of Literature (LOL) Book Club
"Jade believes she must get out of her neighborhood if she’s ever going to succeed. Her mother says she has to take every opportunity she has. She accepted a scholarship to a mostly-white private school and even Saturday morning test prep opportunities. But some opportunities feel more demeaning than helpful. Like an invitation to join Women to Women, a mentorship program for “at-risk” girls. Except really, it’s for black girls. From “bad” neighborhoods.
But Jade doesn’t need support. And just because her mentor is black doesn’t mean she understands Jade. And maybe there are some things Jade could show these successful women about the real world and finding ways to make a real difference.
Friendships, race, privilege, identity—this compelling and thoughtful story explores the issues young women face" (Goodreads, 2019).
