MARCH IS MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOLS MONTH


MIOSM is NAfME’s annual celebration to engage music educators, students, and communities from around the country in promoting the benefits of high quality music education programs in schools.


Music In Our Schools Month began in 1973 as a single statewide Advocacy Day and celebration in New York. It grew over the decades to become a month-long celebration of school music in 1985.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT MATCHING FUNDS GRANT - apply now!!

The spring grant of up to $500, is available to WMEA members for the purpose of aiding in expenses to attend professional development activities. Application deadline April 1st!

KUHN MEMORIAL AND LES PARSONS SCHOLARSHIPS

Attn: Teachers of Seniors in High School or College Music Majors!


WMEA supports two scholarships ... the Les Parsons Scholarship for a high school senior and the Ron and Virginia Kuhn Memorial Scholarship for college/university music majors who have completed at least one semester of higher education.

2017 OPENING NIGHT CONCERT: CALLING ALL CHOIRS

WMEA extends an invitation to any interested CHOIR to audition for the 2017 All-State Conference Opening Night Concert in Cody. The selected group will be allotted a 30-minute time slot on the Opening Night Concert on January 15, 2017.
