Student & Parent Info for September

Message from Mrs. Winters

Welcome Back! We have had an amazing start to our 2016-2017 school year! This year we are making a concerted effort to have more frequent communication with our CHS families & community so you are aware of the amazing things happening at Capital! Please watch for monthly newsletters during the first week of every month to learn of the happenings at our awesome school.

In an effort demonstrate our EAGLE PRIDE, we have selected a hashtag to incorporate into our social media posts. You will notice #LikeAnEagle on our Twitter and Facebook pages. When great things are posted that demonstrate what EAGLE PRIDE is all about we are tagging it with #LikeAnEagle. Our hope is to fill up social media feeds with all things CHS. Please join us in our effort to show the world what it is meant to have EAGLE PRIDE by utilizing our hashtag in your posts also.

We are excited to have students back in the building and we look forward to seeing you on campus supporting the various activities and we especially look forward to seeing you at Back to School Night on Sept. 14th.

Make a Wish

Trey Grijlava is a 4-year old who has been living with Neuroblastoma; a type of cancer. Trey enjoys all things sports! He is currently in T-ball and can’t wait until he is old enough to play football and basketball. He is a huge superhero and Lego fan which is why he has wished to go to LEGOLAND! With your help, his wish will come true this October.

It will begin when Trey and his family fly to Carlsbad California where they will be greeted by a royal welcome in thjeir Kingdom themed room. It is then off to take advantage of all the resort has to offer, including the LEGOLAND Water Park, the Sea Life Aquarium, and of course all of the LEGOLAND rides.

Trey and his family will discover a land that is truly built for fun at LEGOLAND, it will be a wish come true! Trey and his family will return home with photos, souvenirs and priceless memories, giving them hope, strength, and joy.

Thank you for helping make Trey’s wish come true!
