An optician is the first person people will encounter when seeking out vision care. Opticians are directly involved in customer service and most work in vision care stores.
Education
The education needed is a High School Diploma or equivalent at minimum. Some employers may ask you to get an higher education.
Salary
The salary starts at like 20-26 dollars an hour, and in 2017 the average optician made about $36,250 dollars.
Colleges
There are many different local community colleges that one could attend but there are also better options. You can go to Pfeiffer and get your degree in nursing and then move your way up. There are also many tech schools you can attend like Durham Tech.
Possible Growth
The average optician could grow about 11,00 by the year 2026 and the job outlook is about 15% which is much faster than average.
