- Three Cheers to ALL TALL ASTROS for making it through September and now we are half way through the month of October. May you all enjoy a well deserved 3 day weekend!
- Luke, we are so happy to have you back!
- What a pleasant surprise Nate to see you at last night's school board meeting! Thank you for electing to spend some time to learn more about what is going on in ESD #159.
- Thank you Ashlee and Sarah for allowing us to share and celebrate your Small Astros completion of ABC Countdown! I applaud your team based decision making to let the data drive and shape not only your instructional practices but also the scope and sequence of the curriculum. Mr. Usher, thank you for helping the team arrange the Multipurpose Room for the Kinder ABC Fashion Runway Show!!!!
- Thank you to our Grade Level Team members again for your support through your grade level department for following through as we support ESD #159's charity of the month: Cancer Awareness. I especially want to thank Ashlee for making the templates and providing any other additional resources to all with professionalism and good cheer. Thank you Kristen for helping me streamline the online voting process for a new logo. Thank you Michelle, Ashlee and Sarah for posting all of the ribbons in the hallway. Thank you Audra for arranging the school wide assembly as well as any other tasks that were put upon you without even being asked. You are appreciated:)
- Thank you Shannon for your work with the Word of the Week bulletin board. It is dynamic! If there were additional hands please let me know.
- Jill, thank you for your staff interviews each week. I know that I look forward to learning more about my work family. Also, please forgive me Jill as I clearly changed my mind :)
October 16th: There is a data forum at CPMS beginning at 6:00. Each school via their Principal will present their preliminary data and share their plan of action. All data in the state of Illinois will be finalized and made available October 31st (FYI). Attached to this edition of Friday Focus is the Illinois Report Card timeline.
Halloween: Please take care to send me your family letters regarding this year's fall parties no later than the 18th of October.
Emergency Lesson Plans are due November 1st. Please take care to send to Michelle's attention.
Science Fair: We will kick off the Science Fair Season November 1st!!!! More to come.
November 13th: Please mark your calendars. The next school board meeting will be at NAES. Historically, we have always come together as a staff and community to attend the board meeting when it takes place at Neil Armstrong. Let's make this year no different! Your presence is appreciated and greatly welcomed. Additionally, one of our very own parents will be making a presentation regarding additional resources they would like to provide our students during lunch/recess and possibly after school. Let's continue to be there for one of our own!
