Happy Holidays!

Note from Coach Angel

MSST parents and swimmers,

WOW, Christmas time is upon us, and we have had many things going on! It was so nice to see all the swimmers that competed in the last few meets, as coaches we couldn't be more proud of all of the kids accomplishments. The kids are continuing to work hard, and their efforts are amazing. After the holidays, we will be gearing up for some of our big meets of the season. We have several of the older kids who will be competing in Homer at the Senior Championship meet, along with the Spring Will Come meet on the 12th of January

During the holidays our practice schedule will change a little bit, so make sure you take note of when your child's group practices times. Unfortunately, I will be out of town from the 17th of December through the 4th of January. My family will be spending some much needed time with our son, and family during the holidays. Alyssa and Abigail will be running practices, and we are in the works of hiring a new assistant coach to take over the Novice groups. Please send good vibes that everything works out with this process. If you have immediate attention please seek out Alyssa and Abigail, although I will be checking and answering emails while I'm gone.

SAVE THE DATE! Swim-A-Thon Saturday March 23rd

Swim-a-Thon is a great way to raise needed funds while supporting the USA Swimming Foundation! It’s a simple, in-pool fundraiser where participants earn money by swimming lengths of the pool. Swimmers ask family members, friends, neighbors, or businesses to pledge a certain amount of money per length or make a flat donation in support of the team.

Athletes participating in your team Swim-a-Thon fundraiser can earn Swim-a-Thon Deck Pass Patches, participation and incentive awards from the USA Swimming Foundation, including bag tags, swim caps, water bottles, t-shirts, hoodies, towels, duffel bags, and backpacks.

Save the date and watch for Swima Thon details coming soon!

MSST is in the process of providing an additional fundraising opportunity for our swim families in 2019 with a RAFFLE!

We'd love to hear from you if you have cool raffle item suggestions!

We have set a goal of raising $20,000 in addition to existing fundraisers like the Swim-A-Thon.

Stay tuned for more details!

Hiring Committee

Tuesday, Jan. 15th 2019 at 5:15pm

1235 Airport Way

Fairbanks, AK

The hiring committee is meeting on Jan. 15th to formulate its spring hiring strategy. We have been so lucky to have Coach Angel on deck with us these past months, but we know a long-term head coach/CEO is what our program needs. As the swimming season winds down later this spring we anticipate additional interest from potential coaching candidates in and out of state.
