Description of Ultraviolet Light
Ultra violet light is a form of radiation and an electromagnetic wave that is not visible to the human eye which means that we cant see it. It's falls under the invisible part of the electromagnetic spectrum. UV light has frequencies ranging from 8x10 ^14 to 3x10^16 Hz and wavelengths from 10^-8 meters to 3.8x10^-7 meters. The velocity of a ultraviolet light in a vacuum is 186,000 miles per second. UV lights are used in the theater to make some objects glow and its also used to check for fake money in shops. Real money usually has some security feature to it that causes it to light up under UV light. UV light has been known to cause skin cancer and can also cause sun burn but it has been also known to help treat rickets, psoriasis, and eczema.

How UV Light Works
Here are some interesting facts!
- UV light or phototherapy vitiligo treatment can help create re-pigmentation.
- Many things that are not invisible to the human eye can become visible under a UV light.
- Our cornea is good at absorbing the UV rays which can cause damage to our eyes if a person keeps on looking at the rays for a long period of time
- Our ozone layer blocks some UV light which is good for our health but then causes the way we see the earth to be different.
