Pleasant Valley Family Newsletter
October 30, 2020
Our mission is to empower and inspire a community of lifelong learners and leaders!
Hello Pleasant Valley Families,
Thank you to all you who took the National PTA School of Excellence Survey and your patience due to last week's technological difficulties with the weekly newsletter. Our PTA leadership will look at the results as we revisit our previous goals and develop new action steps.
We are still planning on having our Parma Education Association (PEA) Fall Food Drive.
As many other things have changed with this challenging year, our food drive will also look different from the past. We will be collecting canned food, non-perishable items, and personal hygiene items for those in need on Monday, November 9th. There will be boxes at the doors where you go for packet pick-up on that Monday. We ask that you look in your pantry or closets for items that you have not used or are willing to donate to families in need.
All students need to be logged in at 9:15 am on Tuesday-Friday. If your child is not in attendance (logged in), parents and guardians MUST call the office at 440-885-2380 before 9:30 am to report it. If your child is going to be tardy (not logging in for am sessions) or "leaving" for the day (not logging in for a later scheduled live teaching session), parents and guardians also must call the office ASAP to report it.
There will be no school (live Google Meet lessons) on Tuesday, November 2nd as it is a district professional development day.
Please call (440) 885-2380 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm as our office staff will assist if you have any questions. My highest hope for all of the Plesant Valley community stays safe and healthy.
Very Sincerely,
Stephanie Boka, Principal
**Packet Pick-up Monday, November, 2 @ 12-5PM** (change due to Distance Learning)
Packets of work will be distributed to families who have been contacted by their child’s teacher. Parents may report to Pleasant Valley Elementary on Monday between the hours of 12:00pm and 5:00pm to pick up packets if they were contacted by a teacher. There will be a change moving forward. ALL PACKETS WILL BE PICKED UP AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE ON MONDAYS. ***Not all teachers will have packets to hand out this week as the expectation is for most of the work to be done through Google Classroom.***
