Congratulations to all of our students being recognized.
Obligation deadline approaching - detentions ending for the year
Students are strongly encouraged to take care of their obligations so that they can be removed from our Obligations List. For underclassmen, obligations not met by the end of this school year are rolled over to the next school year; for seniors, obligations must be met prior to graduation week. All teachers have access to the Obligations List daily, and any teacher can give students information about their obligations.
Students with unfulfilled obligations will roll-over to the Obligations List next year. PowerSchool accounts will be disabled over the summer for these students.
Detention is held daily, Monday-Thursday, 2:45pm-4:30pm, in room 520, through Thursday, May 16th.
Student check-outs limited during May
If your child has an appointment that requires him/her to be checked out early from school, send a note with your child the morning of the check-out - that will help us facilitate this for you. Thank you for understanding and supporting this need.
Chromebooks - new option for students next year
Since RHHS has become a 1:1 school, we have sought ways to enhance our program and the experience for all our students.
Pathway 1 and 2 for our 1:1 program involves RHHS issuing a school-owned chromebook to the student. Pathway 3 allows a student to have his/her personal laptop (approved by the school) to be registered and used by the student.
Beginning this spring, we will add Pathway 4 as an option for our 1:1 program, allowing students to purchase a chromebook from us at a competitive rate. Purchasing a chromebook from us gives ownership to the student, while still allowing students to retain technical support through RHHS. The student will also be able to keep his/her chromebook over the summer instead of turning it in for inventory purposes.
Complete information about this option, Pathway 4, is provided in the links below.

Graduating seniors have asked if they can purchase their currently issued chromebooks. Yes, this option will be made available! Please watch for more information about this when we return from spring break.
Have you seen your child's draft schedule?
Schedule changes will be addressed according to the following schedule below.
The last day to submit a schedule change request form will be Friday, May 10.
Rising 12th Grade Students: Monday, April 29- Friday, May 3
Rising 11th Grade Students: Monday, May 6 - Friday, May 10
Rising 10th Grade Students: Monday, May 13 - Friday, May 17
Rising 9th Grade Students: Monday, May 20 - Friday, May 24
During this initial drop/add window, the only way to request a change will be for students to obtain a schedule change request form from the counseling suite in rooms 515/516. Forms must be signed by student and parent and returned to the counseling suite during the time frame above. Calling and emailing to obtain the forms will only slow the process so we ask again that students obtain the form on their own before or after school or during a class change. Thanks in advance for your understanding as we build toward a successful start for the 2019-20 school year.
Student parking: presale permit applications available soon
Presale permits are made available to students who have no ISS or OSS for the year, are passing 75% of their classes, are clear of the Obligations List and who have 6 or fewer absences and 6 or fewer tardies for this semester. Presale permits will be $50. Presale begins in soon and will continue through mid-June. Watch this newsletter for more information next week.
