The Plot to this Story
Twelve year old Marlee, who lives in Little Rock, Arkansas is a shy and quiet little girl. Soon she will meet a girl in school, Liz. She makes things easier for Marlee, but what they don't know is that Liz is a negro and about to make things worse for both of there families. So Marlee decides she wants to stay friends with Liz.
Are they willing to take on segregation and the dangers their friendship will bring to both their families?
