Puerto Rico
Welcome to Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico's Political Situation
In 1917, the United States Congress passed a law that gave all Puerto Ricans US Citizenship. This upset most Puerto Ricans because they felt like the USA was using them to make them sign up for the war. Puerto Ricans cannot vote in USA presidential elections because they are only a territory of the USA not a state.
