School Counselor Buzz with Ms. Zablotny
We recognized Red Ribbon Week the last week of October! Each day, students had a different theme to celebrate our choice to live a healthy, drug-free life! The Red Ribbon campaign serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities.
The month of November started our Warm and Fuzzy program! Students pay $1 each Monday in the month of November to wear pajamas to school! All proceeds go to buy holiday gifts for Buckeye families in need! The class with the most donations will win a donut party! Christmas assistance is also available for families in need through the Salvation Army's Toy and Food program. Information provided below!

Physical Education Teacher, Mrs. Jan Simmons Retires
A final message from Mrs. Simmons: I just had to take the opportunity to say goodbye to all of you, and thank you so very much for the part each of you has played in my life at Buckeye. I have seen a gazillion superintendents, principals, board members, support staff, teachers, and students come and go and feel extremely fortunate for the chance to have worked with each one. We have shared life changing events, both happy and sad. I have surely been blessed to have co-taught with a great teacher who enriched my teaching experience each day for so many years. My choice to be here has been very intentional, and in no small part, due to you and those before you. When you think about it, I have spent more time with many of you than I have spent with some of my family members, so where we work and the people we work with impact our lives a great deal. Thank you for the part of my heart you share and for making Buckeye so much like home. You will be missed. I hope you are lucky enough to feel the same way when you retire. Stay safe, healthy, and as always, optimistic!
