Autumn Creek Elementary Newsletter
July 13, 2021
In preparation for the opening of school, I wanted to make you aware of a few events we have planned for our community prior to opening.
- Back to School Block Party- This event is for all ACE families and is being sponsored by the ACE PTO and Generation Park! Meet us on Friday July 23 at 7pm in Generation Park's Redemption Square for food, bounce houses, and time to connect with our teachers and other families. You won't want to miss it!
- Building tours- We are still planning to offer tours of the building to our families prior to our opening. This of course will be contingent upon the construction completion, including when we are no longer required to wear hard hats in the building. Once we are able to begin scheduling tours, you can look for the link in this newsletter!
- ACE Open House- We will host Open House at ACE on Thursday August 5 from 5pm to 7pm. At this event you can meet your child's teacher, connect with some of our partners, and hear about what the first week of school at ACE will look like, including morning drop off and afternoon pickup.
I sincerely hope you will join each of these events as they are great ways to connect with our staff.
We can't wait to serve your students!
Our full-sized gym features the Autumn Creek logo at mid-court! We also will have retractable bleachers, so there is plenty of room for our kids at PE.
Lobby Tree now complete
This is the finished tree in our lobby! It took several painters an entire week to paint it so that its surface looks like bark.
We continue to take staff on visits to go see their actual space. Featured here is Perla Garcia (3rd grade teacher, center) in her classroom featuring a garage door! Also joining her are, left to right, Daniela Antunes (kindergarten), Ramona Michael (district virtual art teacher), Chloe Soto (pre-K paraeducator), and Autumn Jackson (art).

This could include information on their learning styles and work habits, or anything else you feel is relevant. Although requests for specific teachers will not be honored, we will factor your feedback in so that your student has the best chance of success!

For new applicants, select Autumn Creek as the place where you will volunteer and provide the rest of the requested information. It's easy! For more information on the volunteering process and to fill out the form, please go to this link. https://www.humbleisd.net/volunteer
