Request To Change Instructional Setting For 4th Nine Weeks
As you know, Lago Vista ISD parents who have selected the remote instructional setting for their student may choose to change to face-to-face beginning the fourth nine weeks. This is done by submitting a request form this week (February 24 - March 1). Parents who did not opt into bus transportation during the first semester may also request to be added to bus transportation for the fourth nine weeks. Changes requested this week will take effect the fourth nine weeks, which begins on March 22nd.
FACE-TO-FACE INSTRUCTION: In light of the substantial COVID-19 case numbers in and around the state and nation, we ask that families of any student participating in face-to-face instruction be mindful of participating in higher risk activities or social gatherings during Spring Break. We urge parents to help students uphold mask-wearing and hygiene practices and to monitor their students for any symptoms before sending them back to school.
TRANSPORTATION: We are still requesting that parents who are able to transport their children to please continue to do so. Our ability to maintain appropriate physical distancing on school buses remains limited and we appreciate our parents' support in helping us limit ridership to those with the greatest need.
To request a change to face-to-face instruction or to opt into bus transportation, please complete the online form below. You must complete one form per student.
IF YOUR STUDENT IS ALREADY IN THE FACE-TO-FACE INSTRUCTIONAL SETTING, IS ALREADY RIDING THE BUS, OR IS REMAINING IN THE REMOTE INSTRUCTIONAL SETTING, YOU DO NOT NEED TO COMPLETE THIS FORM.
https://forms.gle/aU3get2ckNXwHdd66
This online form will close on March 1st at 11:59pm. In order to allow the necessary adjustments to accommodate the requests, no requests to change to the face-to-face instructional setting or to opt into bus transportation will be accepted after this form is closed.
Again, please note that changes requested using this form will take effect the fourth nine weeks, which begins on March 22nd.
We invite parents to visit www.lagovistaisd.net to view our Return-to-School Plans (in English and in Spanish) to review information on face-to-face instructional protocols and procedures for bus transportation.
Please be aware that as each grading period allows for parents to request changes, our campus must adjust accordingly. While we strive to maintain as much consistency as possible for our students, requests for changes may result in teacher changes. Even those NOT requesting a change in the instructional setting may be impacted and result in a teacher change as we shift teacher assignments to and from face-to-face and virtual to accommodate change requests.
