Students Use Outdoor Classroom in November

Wilkshire students from Mrs. Murton's and Mrs. Watrich's DK classes enjoyed the outdoor classroom on Thursday! The weather was perfect for exploring and learning how momentum works with gravity. and how a mud kitchen is a great place to experience creativity, mixing and clean up.

Music Is Therapy

Music boosts our mood and well-being. "Listening to music, singing, and music therapy can create significant improvements in mental health," according to recent research from Harvard Health Publishing at Harvard Medical School, https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/can-music-improve-our-health-and-quality-of-life-202207252786?scrlybrkr=0f9992de. Students in Mrs. Hampton's 1st grade class had the privilege of having the President of the American Music Therapy Association, Angela Snell, sharing music therapy with instruments, songs and singing. What a great experience for all!
