PHS Parent Bulletin--School Opening 2021-2022
PHS Mission & Vision
Vision: To be a campus of EXPERT educators that work together to positively impact individual lives and improve our community by having 100% of our students graduate high school with a written actionable post-secondary plan.
2021-2022 School Year
We will maintain increased cleaning protocols--daily our PHS custodial staff will thoroughly clean all campus surfaces and high traffic areas and teachers will continue to have access to sanitation supplies throughout the school day. We will also continue several new things that were implemented last year because they are better for our students--multiple entrance points in the morning, three lunch periods, and the increased use of technology to facilitate learning and communication. I have included important information below that I hope will help you plan for the new school year. And, here are important dates to remember:
- Wednesday, August 4th--Meet Your Teachers!-details below
- Monday, August 9th--1st Day of School
- Tuesday, August 10th--9th & 10th Grade Yearbook/ID Pictures

PHS Campus Guidelines
The information contained in this document is intended to supplement our PISD Student Handbook and Student Code of Conduct by providing practical information about guidelines we follow across our campus for situations that impact students and staff members daily. We are providing this information in an effort to support students and families, build trusting relationships and increase the level of transparency and accountability for providing an excellent educational experience for our students.
Pleasanton High School Mission
We will ENSURE all students learn at high levels for success in their future, whether that include college, vocational or trade school, military service, or the work force.
This mission is at the heart of everything we do. When making decisions on our campus we first consider our mission and ask ourselves, “what actions can we take that will support students to be prepared for life after high school?” We pride ourselves on seeing students as individuals and making decisions/ recommendations that honor the individuality of each student. Simultaneously, we must also create a reliable, effective educational system for 1000 students. This is an awesome and sometimes heavy responsibility we bear as educators. Our hope is that we can work together to support your student, recognizing their uniqueness while honoring the standards and expectations that make serving 1000 students each day possible.
Connect with us on Facebook and help us tell the world about our awesome PHS students and staff members! We are on a mission to give voice to and shine a light on all the positive things that our students and staff members do each day.
