Welcome Back Walsh Eagles!
Hello Walsh Families!
Monday is the first day of school for students in grades 1-4!
If you are driving your child to school, please use our drop off lane on 57th Street. You will pull up and a staff member will open your car door for students. If you walk your child to school, drop off is in the back of the building on the blacktop. Staff will be there to assist children getting into their line.
All students have the opportunity to have FREE breakfast and/or lunch. If your child is having breakfast, please assure your child arrives at school by 7:30 AM.
All students should be at school by 7:45 AM, as the bell rings to enter the building at 7:50 AM. Tardy students should enter Door 1 and check in at the main office. Please help us to get your child here on time for school!
We are so excited to see our students and get this year started. Please reach out to us or our awesome office staff if you have questions.
See you soon!

Dropping your child off at School? Please Read!
As we return to school this fall there you will notice that the social distancing signage has been removed and the drinking fountains are "uncapped. Even though we are returning to a less restrictive learning environment we know that the Covid 19 virus in its many forms is still around us. Given this understanding, we will be following the following guidelines....
- Students who present with updated CDC "possible symptoms of Covid" including fever/chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle/body aches, headache, new loss of taste/smell, sore throat, congestion/runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, may be sent home after nurse screening
- Students sent home much test to return or isolate for 5 days
- After 5 days of isolation or a negative Covid test (home tests are acceptable), students may return to school if symptoms have improved and student is fever, diarrhea, and vomit free for 24 hours
- It is recommended that students returning from Covid isolation wear a mask for 5 days upon return
- Due to changes communicated by the IDPH, testing will no longer be completed by the nursing team
If your child is having breakfast, please assure that they arrive at school by 7:30 AM.
