Second Grade News
Week 18 - January 8-12, 2018
English Language Arts
This week we will be reading Snow Day and Brave Irene. We then will compare and contrast the wintery stories using a Venn diagram. Our grammar focus will be plural and singular nouns. A plural noun is a word that names more than one person, place or thing. A singular noun names only one person, place or thing.
Spelling:
This week's spelling words are homophones. These are words that sound alike, but they have different spellings and different meanings. Take some time practicing writing these words properly in sentences this week, as they can get confusing.
