Week of November 11
I was blown away by the generosity of our community with the donations given for Stuff the Bus! STUCO had to load 5 carts to get everything out to the bus! Most importantly though, it will benefit needy families in our area. Thank you!
This week is kindness week on campus. Our Hope Squad has created activities for the entire campus. November 13 is designated as National Kindness Day. The activities created are 100% student created. Details will be shared on the announcements tomorrow.
Tickets are on sale for the Fall Festival put on by STUCO. They are $5 before school and at lunch. Tickets will be $7 at the door. Our Fall Festival will be held this Friday from 4-7pm.
Veteran's Day is tomorrow-we are so thankful for all of our veteran's and their service to this country. We honored them this past Friday with a special breakfast and program. We had many student performances and they were spectacular. Thank you to each veteran and their family who came and shared their morning with us! We would like everyone to wear red, white, and blue tomorrow.
I hope to see you out this week at one of the events supporting our students.
Have a great week!

Sign-up: What Parents Need to Know about Teen Vaping and Drug Use (Presented by Children's Health)
Dear Parent or Guardian,
The holidays are approaching and we want to make you aware of a program
available to support families in Prosper ISD while school is not in session. For Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break and Spring Break our school district is working with Lovepacs to help families supplement their food resources.
During these extended breaks, families often need double the amount of food they typically
use due to their students being home all day from school. Lovepacs work with area schools to provide families with additional food to cover their increased need within their family by supplying food packs.
These food packs will include items such as bread, rice, pasta, peanut butter, jelly, snacks, canned vegetables, canned fruits and canned meats— enough to feed your child breakfast, lunch, and snack each day of the break.
Prior to the holiday breaks, Lovepacs will deliver food packs to the school of your choice or deliver to your home for families that choose to participate.
No identifying information about your child will be shared with Lovepacs.
More information on Lovepacs is available at http://www.Lovepacs.org/Prosper
If you would like to receive a Lovepac, please click here to complete the online form by November 14, 2019 in order to participate for Thanksgiving Break.

Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
Parents-Please review the arrival and dismissal procedures linked below. We want to remind everyone for safety reason you should not pick your student up on Coit after school. Traffic flow in and out of campus is highlighted in the procedures. Thank you for your assistance as we work to make it as smooth and safe for everyone as possible.
Students that walk home should use the crossing guards to cross Coit instead of crossing at the pedestrian cross walk (located north of Rogers). Using the pedestrian crosswalk at dismissal causes Coit to back up makes it difficult for cars to exit the school.
Rogers MS Fall Festival
Rogers Middle School is hosting a Fall Festival for students on November 15th after school. Students will be able to enjoy an inflatable, carnival style games, a cornhole tournament, 3 on 3 basketball (sign up at lunches), a teacher pie eating contest, and more. Students can purchase tickets at lunch or before school for $5. If you are interested in volunteering please fill out this google form and you will be contacted. All volunteers must have completed a district volunteer background check on file from this year. You can find that form here. If you have specific questions, feel free to reach out to Lexie Johnson (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Coach Holder (email@example.com). We hope to see you there!
Tickets will be sold from Wednesday November 6th - Thursday, November 14th.

Other Important Information
Procedures for dropping off items for students at Rogers Middle School:
Parents bringing lunch, water bottles, snacks, homework or any other personal items such as cellphones and backpacks to school for their student will be asked to sign the items in with the students name and grade. All items will be placed on the book shelf in the vestibule which is located just outside the front office. Students are responsible for picking up their items. In an effort to keep the teacher from being interrupted during class time, the front office does not call the classroom to notify students when items have been dropped off at the school.
