what is scientific revolution?
Scientific revolution started in the same time as the Renaissance time. Scientific revolution was a great time of discoveries in science and astronomy, when people started questioning all the theories from the middle ages or the ancient period. Scientist approved their theories with mathematical or observational experiments.
Who were the people associated with the change ?
Galileo
Galileo was an Italian scientist that born in February 15, 1564,Pisa ,Italy. Galileo was known as an astronomer. He invented his own telescope . The telescope allowed him to make discoveries about space. On January 7 ,1610, he discovered four moons that move around the planet Jupiter. Also, he helped to approve to everyone that the Earth was round. Galileo was important because he provided evidence that the sun is the center of the solar system .Galileo had punished from the Roman catholic church because his ideas was against the beliefs . On January, 8, 1637, Galileo died.
Copernicus
Copernicus was an Polish scientist that born in February , 19, 1473.Copernicus was a renaissance mathematician and astronomer. Copernicus's radical idea was that Earth should be one of the planet that revolved around the sun. He also declared that the Earth rotated on an axis. However, he had an ideas that the planet moves in small orbital then it gets bigger.Copernicus was important because he gave ideas for our modern day scientist about the universe and he made his idea clear that the Earth should regarded as one of the planets that revolved around the sun. On May, 24 ,1543,Copernicus died.
kepler
Kepler was an German scientist that born in December , 27 , 1571.Kepler was known as mathematician, astronomer, and astrologer. Kepler discovered three laws of planetary motion based on his observation . These laws showed that the planets move in an elliptical and pattern. He was important because he made an important discoveries that effected our modern day.For example, without his ideas we did not know that the planets moves in specific motion around the sun.On November ,15,1630, Kepler died.
How did the change impact society at the time?
Scientific Revolution made people more advanced . Also, it led to new ideas about nature , universe , religion, education and economics. It gave people ideas how their universe works. However, the church was against of these discoveries because it was against the Bible.
How is that change evidenced in today's modern society ?
Age of exploration led scientists to study natural world more closely .Scientific revolution led to unknown things to be discovered that ancient scientists didn't know.It gave a beginning of modern science. It gave an idea of how the universe set up. In the past they used scientific method and we still use it today. They used telescope to discover the universe and we still using it in modern day.
