Announcement from our PE team
The PE Department would like to make you aware of a new policy that we have set in place for the remainder of the school year. Beginning this week, any scholar that arrives to PE class without their uniform will be given a “loaner” uniform to wear for their PE class. These “loaner” uniforms will be washed, so no scholar will ever have to wear a dirty or sweaty uniform. Scholars will pick up the “loaner” uniform on the stage from the “Clean” bin. When class is over, they will return it to the “Dirty” bag/bin on the stage.
If a scholar refuses to wear the “loaner” uniform, they will be given a warning on the first offense. The second time a scholar refuses to wear it, they will be given a referral. Our goal is not to punish the scholars or make them feel uncomfortable, but we simply have too many scholars showing up to PE class without their PE uniforms. The majority of these scholars continually claim that they have PE uniforms but just left them at home. Some even have them at school, but choose not dress out, even though they lose points for not dressing out.
Should you have any questions about this policy, or if you need assistance in acquiring or purchasing PE uniforms for your scholar, please do not hesitate to contact your scholar’s PE teacher.
Sincerely,
The PE Department
Mrs. Brogdon, Mrs. Bonini and Mr. Snyder
