A Note From The Principal- Mrs. Conover
I would like to acknowledge the contribution of staff, parents and students to Torrey Hill Intermediate School during these trying times. Walt Disney once said, "You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful ideas in the world, but it requires people to make the dream a reality". This is certainly the case as a principal. The reality is that the learning experiences and projects that have taken place this year could not have happened without a great deal of commitment and support from the staff, parents and students.
Thank YOU for continuing to be with us during this unprecedented journey. Below are some resources you may find helpful.

ATTENDANCE
If a student is not in attendance for an a.m. or p.m. live teacher-led meeting, they will be marked absent. If absences occur regularly, the teacher will be required to check-in with the student at least twice per week and keep a two-way log. Families will be notified if two-way logs will be used for attendance. Keeping track of communications, via the logs, will help support student learning in lieu of the Face to Face (F2F) time. The check-in information must be logged into our student information system as part of the attendance requirement. This two-way accountability piece is put in place at the state level.
We realize there have been some issues with connectivity and are not marking students tardy or absent if the concerns are wide-spread. If your student is being marked absent often and you feel it is due to connection issues, please notify your student's teacher or call the Torrey Hill office.
