Extracurricular practice times
- Drill Team: Tue / Thur 1500 - 1600. Meet at the library in the high school at 1500.
- Color Guard Wed 1500 - 1600 and Fri 1400 - 1500. Meet at the storage shed on the south side of high school.
- Air Rifle: Fri 1400 - 1530 / Sat 0900 - 1030. Meet at the storage shed on south side of high school.
- Recycling Service Hours (receive service hours towards community service ribbon); Every Thursday at 1500. Meet at the library.

NSHSS Foundation STEM Scholarship
The NSHSS Foundation provides STEM scholarships for underrepresented groups in order to help reduce financial barriers for those with academic and leadership potential and the desire to pursue STEM careers. Students must have a 3.0 GPA and a demonstrated desire to major in or pursue a degree in a STEM discipline (see website for full list). The scholarship is $1,000.

Heisman High School Scholarship
The Heisman High School Scholarship recognizes and rewards outstanding scholar-athletes who understand that the most important victories not only happen on the field, but in their schools and communities. Students must have a cumulative weighted high school grade point average (GPA) of a B (3.0) or better, participate or have participated in grades 9, 10, or 11 in at least one sport, and be a leader in school and in the community and serve as a role model for underclassmen.

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Essay Contest
The contest is open to all college-bound, high school seniors who submit an essay application through a Chapter of the Fraternity. Applicants must write a 700-750 word essay answering the question, "A world crisis has caused a paradigm shift for health disparities and social justice; what are your suggestions for positive change?" Awards vary from $1000-$5000.

Coca-Cola Scholar
The Coca-Cola Scholar program is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to students in their final year of high school. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA; see website for additional requirements.

ACF Visionary Scholarship
*Open to freshman through seniors!*
Students will need to complete the application and write a 500-word essay on “Why College is Important to Me”. Awards range from $1,000 to $2,500 each.
