December is always a busy month! We have our Christmas practices on December 6th in the afternoon and December 12th in the morning. Our Christmas program is on December 12th at 6:30! You won't want to miss seeing our kids perform! Mrs. Braswell has a knack of bringing out the performer in all of them!
We will be participating in Hour of Code next week. This is an opportunity for students to learn how to do computer coding. This is a job skill that our students should consider-there are many jobs out there that require coding skills, but not many people that know how to do it!
We will be taking our Study Island benchmark tests the week of December 11th-15th. Please make every effort to have your child to school on time ready to show what they have been learning!
Our Christmas parties will be on Tuesday, December 19th at 10:00. The next day, December 20th we will go to the show at 9:30 to see Ferdinand. You are welcome to join us both days. If you come to the school, you will pay at the show after we get in and get seated. Of course, Santa will be coming to visit us during the last days of school!! Christmas vacation is from December 21st - January 3rd. School begins again on January 4th.
Everyone that has their AR points will be playing bingo on Monday, December 18th. Please encourage your child to be reading on their Lexile level and taking tests!. Those that go above and beyond their required points get an extra surprise treat!
Just a reminder that it is very important that your child comes to school daily, They cannot learn if they are not here. Also, please make sure they are on time. 3 tardies = 1 absence...plus being on time is a life skill you want your child to possess. It does matter...thank you for making sure all homework is completed, checked, and ready to come back to school. Get in the habit of putting their backpack by the door and have it ready to go! Simple steps that make their day go by easier and helps them to be successful!
