Thanks for Participating in Spirit of Giving!
WOW! We raised even more money this year to support the following worthy causes.
- World Wildlife Fund - $1335.69
- Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation - $832.49
- Children’s Hospital Los Angeles - $1162.27
- Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation - $546.43
Over the last few years, Westpark students have donated over $10,000.00 to charitable organizations. Thank you for your support!
Thank you also to parent, Marcy Garrett, and Ms. Maguire for organizing this amazing event.
Driving and Neighborhood Kindness and Safety
I have also been asked by the Irvine Police Department to put out a reminder not to block driveways in the surrounding neighborhoods. The residents in these areas have made several calls to IPD seeking our support.
It takes our entire community being courteous to one another to keep everyone safe. Thank you for your support.
Astounding Inventions
Dear Parents,
Winter break is right around the corner and so is the annual Astounding Inventions® fair! We invite your child to let their imagination go wild as they design and create solutions for everyday problems. Participation in this event is optional and open to K-8 students in the Irvine and Tustin Unified School Districts.
Parental involvement is strongly encouraged; however, it is important that the invention ideas, illustrations, and descriptions are your child’s own. Parents may assist children in making and photographing the model since the child’s ideas in the notebook and video/display will be considered for judging, not the model. The greatest support you can offer is your enthusiastic interest in your child’s own unique ideas.
If your child would like to participate, please help them register here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScQjmDB527h5_jTz5KCyhZc7LalV99udDR4wf-9f4saF_U6Xg/viewform?usp=sf_link
