Class of 2020
FAFSA is preparing to open
- The FAFSA opens on October 1, 2019!
- While you don't necessarily need to do it on the first (and might want to even avoid it as the servers will be jammed those first few days), I would recommend you try to complete this before Thanksgiving.
- You don't need to have finished your application to college or wait for acceptances to complete the FAFSA.
- Meet all deadlines prescribed by the colleges you are interested in.
- Get your FAFSA ID now - no need to wait until 10/1 to get your electronic signature!

Accessing Transcripts
Many of you are beginning the process of applying to college. Some schools such as Temple and the University of Pittsburgh require that you hand enter all of your grades from high school rather than or in addition to sending your official high school transcripts. For your convenience, your unofficial transcript can be found in Infinite Campus under reports. This should assist you in your endeavors. Feel free to use this for college visits as well. Just remember that official transcripts must be requested through Naviance. Test scores (SAT/ACT) are not on your transcripts. They must be sent through the appropriate testing services to the colleges your are applying to.
