Memory Words of the Week

To help our kiddos learn memory words we have added this section to the newsletter. Each week we will put two memory words for your kiddo to practice at home. The memory words featured in this section will also be the memory words we are practicing in class. We will also do our best to give you ideas in which you can practice the words at home. Please feel free to mark the memory word practice from this section on your child's Homework Menu. If your child is has mastered the memory words of the week feel free to pick a different word off of the BCSC memory word list. Click here to access the BCSC/ Wonders kindergarten word list, BCSC/Wonders word list.

Ideas for Practice:

  • When your child goes outside to play in the snow have them write the words in snow using a stick.
  • Put the memory words on your kiddos favorite snack. Each time they want to have the snack they need to read the memory words to "unlock" the snack.
  • Have your kiddo write the memory words on index cards. Then hide the memory words in a room and have your child find the words. Be sure to have them read the word when they find it!
