Football Games at Westside High School

A quick reminder if you or your children plan to attend Varsity Home Football games this season.

  • Elementary school students must sit with their families or chaperones in the bleachers at games this year.
    • Children will not be permitted to run around unsupervised, play football, jump off retaining walls, play tag near large crowds, etc.
  • Middle school students will continue to sit in bleachers in the south end zone area.
  • High school students will continue to sit in the student section of the east bleachers.

Effective this week: no one will be allowed into the stadium after halftime.

Thank you for your continued support to make sure we have a welcoming, safe environment for all guests at Westside!

PBiS at Hillside and the Skill of the Week

PBiS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention and Support. This is our school wide (and district wide) method for supporting student positive behavior and success at school. Each week, we introduce or review a behavior skill for that week. This helps students to continue to grow their behavior skills each week.

The Skill of the Week, 9/26-9/30/22 is:

Accepting No for an Answer

When you get the teacher's attention, you:

  • Look at the person
  • Say "Okay"
  • Stay calm
  • If you disagree, ask later

We will be working on the above skill all week!
