A Note from Your PTO Presidents
This year our PTO was asked to help support the school's three-year plan to transform our media center. We looked at a few options before selecting the Step It Up Kids fundraiser. This fundraiser was selected because 50% of the profit would go back to our organization (and essentially back to the school) and 30% was spent on prizes rewarding the kids for their efforts. In addition, we selected it because we wanted a Day of Awesomeness that ALL kids could participate in regardless of the financial contribution they could or could not make. It was important to our PTO team, our teachers and our administration that all kids celebrate our success. Our goal was to raise $15,000. We had about 37% of our children hit the $60 fundraising goal and many children/families that exceeded that goal. With the support of our kids, their parents and your friends and family, we were able to raise a little over $33,000. This fundraiser will allow us to complete all three phases of the remodel, this school year versus over the next few years, and have some funds left over to help support grants for arts, music, the science lab and many others. Thank you all so much for your support and efforts in helping Brookwood Elementary complete this project this year!

Soon we will begin taking orders for the 2019-2020 yearbooks and orders will remain open until Spring 2020. We hope to open this in another week, once our vendor has finished some updates to our Brookwood PTO webpage. The price of the yearbooks will increase to $35 this year to help support the cost of adding in an additional 8 pages to the yearbook. Our yearbook club will continue to design and create the yearbook under the guidance of Ms. Paluzzi. 5th grade ads will be available at a later date and information will come home after the new year regarding this process.
