Diamond Canyon Coyote Chronicle

Volume 8: Communication for our wonderful Coyote Families

Big picture

Note From Mrs. LeCount

It is with great excitement to welcome volunteers and visitors back into our school. It was wonderful having 50+ parents that came to our K-3 Field Day. To see our parents engaging in person and through our gates made for a very happy day for all of us. Volunteers and visitors are allowed to help in our classrooms and attend our events. DVUSD does have a policy about no visitors in the lunchroom or playground.

Thank you to all the dads, moms, neighbors, etc. who attended our Daddy Daughter Dance. The night was magical and many memories were made. Look for pictures from this event in our May Smore. Thank you DC PTA for hosting this wonderful evening!

I truly believe we have one of the best communities and am thankful your family is part of our Coyote Pack.

With Coyote Pride,

Mrs. LeCount, Principal

Grades 3-8 AASA Testing Schedule (previously AzM2)

Big picture
For each testing day, it is imperative that your child be in attendance for the entire school day. We ask that no appointments be scheduled on these days because once a test session has begun your child is not able to exit and resume a test once they have left campus.

Additionally, your child will need to come to school with:

-His or her Chromebook charged

-A Chromebook charger

-Working and comfortable headphones, no bluetooth headphones will be allowed.

FROM OUR ART ROOM

DC's 2022 virtual art show- April 11-20

DC's annual student art show will be VIRTUAL again this year. DC artists have been working hard in art all year and have chosen their favorite piece from the year to represent them in our art show. Watch your email for a personal invite to your students art show page. There you'll be able to see your students' framed artwork. You'll also have the option to purchase the framed artwork and reproductions through the art show fund raiser option. The show will run online from April 11th - April 20th. Our students are excited and looking forward to showing off their hard work in Art!

Reminder- Neighborhood student Drop off/Pick up enforcement

Though there has always been a rule of no student drop off or pick up along Noble Hawk Court, this has not always been enforced. Maricopa County Department of Transportation has informed us that they will enforcing this rule AND ticketing. Thank you for your help in keeping our neighborhoods and students safe.
