Let's Stay Healthy This Winter Season!
It’s influenza season! This unwelcome season generally occurs between November 1st through March 31st. You can help prevent the flu by getting the flu vaccine every year. How do you know it’s the flu and not a cold? People who have the flu often feel the following symptoms: fever (however, not everyone with the flu will have a fever), cough, sore throat, runny/stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills, fatigue, and, occasionally, diarrhea and vomiting. Oh, my! If you believe you or your child is sick with the flu, limit contact with others as much as possible to keep from spreading the virus. Please don’t forget: your child needs to remain at home until he/she is fever-free, without medication, for 24 hours! Please call the health office and let us know if your child is diagnosed with the flu by his/her physician. As a reminder: cough and sneeze into your elbow and wash your hands often! Stay healthy!
