Keeping our school community informed #FalconFamily
Principal's Corner
Good Morning Falcon Parents and Students,
As we are one week closer to the end of the school year, it is time to focus upon ending the year on a positive note. Keep the grades up, get ready for CAASP testing, be respectful, be responsible, and be resilient.
For those of you who may not have heard, the Hilltop Middle School eighth grade promotion is on June 1 at 11:30 AM at Hilltop High School. We will provide you with more information about this event as we receive it.
The district and our school are beginning the selection process for the new Hilltop Middle School principal. Our staff will be meeting with our district Human Resources department to discuss what qualities they would like to see in the new principal. An interview panel will be identified that will include teachers, counselors, classified staff, and parents. As I have shared with you, I will continue as the interim principal until the end of the school year while the district and school site are in the process of selecting the next principal.
We are proud to announce that our new 600 building science classrooms are nearly complete and will be ready to use in the very near future. These state-of-the-art classrooms will provide our students with outstanding science facilities. Our teachers and students will now have the opportunity to enhance curricular instruction by being engaged in many more technological and hands-on science activities.
In closing, I cannot emphasize enough how important a role our parents play in the success of Hilltop Middle School. Please continue to stay involved and to encourage your students to do their best and to be on their best behavior as we approach the end of this school year.
Best Regards,
Tom Rodrigo
Interim Principal

Assistant Principals' Bulletin
Next week, 4/25-4/29, all students will be taking the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress; also known as CAASPP or SBAC. We will be on a minimum day schedule all week and students will be testing in their advisory classes. Please see the bell schedule below.
In order for everyone to be at their best, please be sure your Falcon goes to bed early, eats a good breakfast and comes to school with a fully charged iPad. If possible, they should also bring a pair of wired headphones, as well. It is also a good idea to have a reading book in case they finish their test session early.
We will be going over tips for testing all this week during advisory.
Sincerely,
Ms. Conlon & Ms. Cruz
