Why Cite?
Why decent people cite their sources, versus not...
When doing work for school, ask yourself these questions....
- Did I create this game?
- Did I write this story?
- Did I take this photo?
- Did I write this article?
- Did I draw this illustration?
If you answered no, the honorable thing to do is to give credit to the person who did the creating, drawing, writing, etc. You do this in hopes that one day you will have work others wish to use, work for which you want credit, since it is yours!
Intellectual Property
Is defined as any product of the human intellect (human mind) that is unique, original, and unobvious.
Intellectual Property in Assassin's Creed®
Assassin's Creed® contains the intellectual property of many, many persons including:
- The music
- The illustrations
- The storyline
- The written code
If you were to use any aspect of Assassin's Creed® in a project or assignment you would need to "cite" the creators of Assassin's Creed® (Much easier than you think.)
