Principal's Message
Hello Grizzlies,
This week was Teacher Appreciation Week and I just want to acknowledge the incredible work that AHS teachers have put into this year. Just like our families and students, teachers have had to successfully navigate CDL, fires, different schedules, evolving safety regulations and had to find creative ways to teach through all of it. This group is flexible I am proud to work with this group!
I want to say thank you to our students that continue to follow the safety guidelines and have made the return to campus successful. You continue to bring energy and purpose to the campus.
To our CDL students, we miss seeing you but you are a Grizzly just like those of us that are in-person. Please remember to show up to the live check in times during class with your teachers and make good use of the CDL check in times (formerly Office Hours) that we have built in to each day just for you. We want to make sure you are successful too.
Have a great weekend!

Ashland High Summer School Credit Recovery Opportunities!
This has been a tough year. We know that despite everyone’s best efforts, many students fell behind on credits. Thanks to a generous grant from the state of Oregon, we are happy to announce a quite robust array of credit recovery opportunities over the summer. It is critically important for our students to be able to start next year with the credits needed to make graduation a certainty.
Our summer school will allow students to recover up to a total of 6 credits during a six-week period.
The program be divided into two sessions: July 17-30 and August 2-20.
Classes will be held Monday through Thursday with a few enrichment field trips offered on Fridays for specific classes. Students may take up to 3 recovery classes per session. Credits may be recovered for both this academic year as well as past academic years. With the exception of certain math situations, classes will be graded as Pass/No Mark.
All instruction will be in-person and on the Ashland High School campus. Both breakfast and lunch will be provided and transportation will be available. There is no cost!
Classes available for recovery will include:
Humanities: English 9, Global Studies, English 10, American Studies, English selectives
Science: Both life and physical science credits can be recovered.
Math: a wide array of math offerings will be offered depending on need and numbers. This will include a math fundamentals refresher, Integrated Math 1, Integrated Math 2, and Algebra 2. Students may be able to take the classes if they did not pass OR If they wish to improve their grades to be eligible for college or to move on to the next math level.
PE/Health:
Electives: If students need elective credits, they may pair what they did with the offering we will have to earn elective credit.
If students need credits that are not listed above, there will be additional computer-based credit recovery options. Students will still need to attend in person to complete those.
If you are interested in signing up for this amazing opportunity, please contact your academic counselor or Glenna Stiles at the high school.
