What is Juneteenth?
Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Juneteenth marks the anniversary of the announcement of General Order No. 3 by Union Army General Gordon Granger on June 19, 1865, proclaiming freedom for enslaved people in Texas.

Summer School Reminders
Arrival
- Breakfast is served daily at 7:45. Please send students as close to 7:45 as possible to ensure adequate supervision.
o K-7th Grade Entrance: DOOR 2
o Car riders Entrance: DOOR 13
Dismissal: 11:00
- Students leaving at 11:30 are dismissed at Door 2 grades K-7.
PM Session starts at 11:30. Report to DOOR 7 by 11:25.
Dismissal: 2:30
- Students are dismissed at 2:30, please arrive promptly at school or bus stop.
o K-5th Grade Dismissal: DOOR 2
o 6th-7th Grade Dismissal: DOOR 13
