In the Classroom
Structuring Paragraphs
Students in Mr. Seiler’s English 3 class work with graphic organizers and highlighters to help understand effective structuring of introductory paragraphs for analyzing literature.
Urban Planning
Students in Mr. Thornton’s US History class learn about urbanization by designing their own city. Considerations for this collaborative learning assignment included infrastructure and municipal facilities for challenges cities face now and in the future.
Zentangle Drawings
To enable understanding and application of the various elements of art, Ms. Grubb’s Art I students created intricate Zentangle drawings using, in this case, lines.
Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
During the month of September, students and faculty participated in a spirit week with themes ranging from PJ Day to Super Hero to Throwback. At the end of it all, faculty from Clemens took on their Steele counterparts in a "dry tri" at Orange Theory Fitness in Cibolo. Teams of three took part in a 2,000 meter indoor row, 300 reps of body weights, and a 5k run on a treadmill.

STUCO invited Meet in the Middle to join them in the Friendship Walk for the football game against Smithson Valley. Disabled and non-disabled students exchanged a small gift with representatives from Smithson Valley high school mid-field.
Girls Basketball
Clemens girls’ basketball team has been hard at work for the last several months preparing for a new season. The Lady Buffs are finishing fall ball and preparing for the start of the regular season on November 2 at Alamo Heights. The first home match-up will be November 19 vs Kennedy. Best of luck to our girls this season, and #GoBuffs!
Varsity Tennis
The defending District Champion Varsity Tennis team is off to a great start this season. Varsity Tennis is 17 – 2 overall at the midpoint of district play with a 4 – 0 record. In recent state, regional, and city rankings, our Buffs were top 30 state-ranked, eighth in Region IV, and are currently ranked second in the city. Over the past three seasons the Buffalo Varsity Tennis has racked up a 70 – 11 record and have not lost a district tennis match in over two years.
